We Left a Pile of Absence

We Left a Pile of Absence
I think it should be a goal in anything you do. To be so effective, so memorable, so important to whatever it is that you do that you leaving (whether it be leaving for a new job, moving to a new idea, moving away, shifting focus) leaves a noticeable absence. Not the superficiality of an empty desk, but the physical and emotional pull of something that's just not right...a nostalgia. If the day after you leave is no different other than a lack of physical presence, you may have well been a cardboard cutout....

The last thing you ever want to hear is "I never noticed you were gone" and one of the best has to be "I don't want you to go."
