Titanic's James Cameron Sued Over Picasso
I always thought it was funny that you see some kind of version of Picasso's famed "Les Demoiselles d'Avignon" sinking in the suite of Rose near the end of Titanic, but apparently the Picasso Estate does not. They won a copyright infringement case when the movie was originally released in 1997, but claim that agreement did not approve its use in the recently released 3D version of the film.

I always wondered why they picked one of the most famous and recognizable paintings in history to reproduce and sink when they could have easily found something that was much more plausible or at least less obvious...I guess for all the detail director James Cameron gave to the ship part of the movie, he didn't have time for a little basic art history...
