The Collection or Our Distant Beginnings in a 3 Inch Dish
A companion piece to What We Plan To Lose or A Countless Number in a Teaspoon Of Sea...
The Collection or Our Distant Beginnings in a 3 Inch Dish is meant to compliment and extend the concept of the previous piece. Here we see similar imagery in a slightly different context, interacting a bit more energetically. The idea, put forth by the title, is to connect the imagery with our understanding of ourselves. Where What We Plan To Lose or A Countless Number in a Teaspoon Of Sea was speaking to the future and the coming issues that may effect a great diversity of life, this piece takes that diversity and tells the viewer that it and them are one in the same. We are all connected, we are all made of the same thing, we are all moving toward the same future. This piece is meant to take that warning and help it hit home, to apply it to ourselves. Where we realize that the world around us is suffering and changing, we often separate our own lives and futures from that while, in reality, we are all sinking in the same boat.
