Daniel Fleming on Gallery Night

Gallery Night is a mere four days away and I'm actually already ready for it...That's right...can't remember the last time I had everything ready to go a week ahead of time. That said, I will be overwhelmingly busy due to all the different places I'll have stuff up this weekend...

Destination #1: SPLASH STUDIO GRAND OPENING

Not only a great show of work, but a fun and interactive gallery night event. Come to Splash Studio in the Third Ward Friday and Saturday for our Grand Opening Event, featuring live painting from me and a few other Splash Artists, work from Beata Chrzanowska and Daniel Fleming hanging, 5$ special mini-canvases, a 4x8' collaborative community piece, and a super secret special late-night painting with Field! YIPPYAYHOOHAWYA!

Destination #2: EFFJAY PROJEKTS. INDIANA GREEN

This should really be a great show...a combination of 15 artists from around the area all with different media, subject matter and aesthetic. A great variety at a great space up in Sheboygan...artist reception Saturday from 5-8.

Destination #3: GALLERY 218

Last but definitely not least, I'll be having my last Gallery Night showing at Gallery 218 in the Marshall Building. After over a year of great gallery space from 218, I've decided to move onto the next bright and shiny object in my life, an open studio of my own.

I am extremely excited about the three pieces I'll be showing at the space this month, three pieces that have been largely unseen by the public, along with a number of GREAT pieces from the five other artists in the co-op and a special video presentation as well. Because of the Splash Studio live painting, unfortunately I will not be able to attend, but the work is already looking great and, as always, should be a great display of contemporary abstract work.

These are the three pieces I'll be having there...

So...lots of places to go...lots of things to see...and I hope I'll catch at least a few of you around the city!
