This is my new piece "Dust Devil Swept You Away" and it's 6x36 inches and I really like the format and dynamics of the size. It makes it a little hard to get a handle on how the piece actually looks since comp screens are so horizontal, but the piece is very striking in person. Starting a piece like this is a little weird...it's hard to orient or imagine how heavy the ends are going to be and the dispersal of color and marks is a little more intensive than the general rectangular canvas...Here's the song that lent much to the piece...more insight to come.
