The 2nd Group

This is the second grouping I did after the large piece. I like em. I think the design ads a unique dimension to them from the others...they seem to be more delicate in a way, more precious. They are the pieces of the group that would draw you in for a closer look. While the others grab the attention from afar, setting the stage for the group as a whole.

With the detail in these two, the series as a whole is seen from afar as big, bold and powerful, and yet when you get closer, the tiny designs and delicate line-work create an intimacy, a personalization for each as they discover the pieces from a different vantage point... they lead you to take a look at the textures and mediums from a more intimate distance across the board...Really a good contrast from the large, haphazard swipes.
