Before the Storm

This is another piece i did over the weekend and while it shares aesthetic similarities to much of the pieces I've done lately, it's a much more simple idea. It's  a picture of two barns in a field as dark storm clouds move over the sun-drenched landscape. I wanted to us extreme color difference to create a foreground and background as well as a foreboding mood. The intensity of the orange is being overcome by the stark blackness that blocks almost anything as the linework expresses the tumultuous nature of being within the storm. I wanted to feel that cold, dark, and sometimes eery breeze that precedes the big storm...the first inkling that all is not well as the sun disappears behind the first few patches of clouds.
