Before Solyndra (and we know how that went) there was Serious Energy. A once-major player in the green energy movement and once-lauded by both President Obama and vice-president Biden, Serious Energy has hit a bit of a brick wall recently. The company has announced plans to close a Chicago area plant, has closed one other, and have been hit with a federal trade commission report which deemed that it had engaged in "deceptive practices" and had made unsupported claims about their window's energy efficiency.
