Long-theorized, never before proven, early "dark galaxies" were formed near the beginning of the big bang and were thought to be collections of dust and gas without stars, but were never detectable. Scientists recently began searching the skies anyway, for faint hints of the galaxies as they reflected light from far-away quasars, and they think they've found their mark. Take a look...
