So...literally every person I've ever met who knows about the pedal tavern, has ridden the pedal tavern, or sees it going through the streets is interested, thinks it's awesome, and wants to do it. They ask what it is, where it's at, how much it is...it's a destination of sorts, especially for people coming from a town which doesn't have anything like it.
Well apparently there's at least 109 people (per the "I Hate Pedal Tavern" facebook page) living in the walker's point/third ward who hate the pedal tavern. They cite reasons like "loudness", "yelling at passerby's", "operating till 10pm" , and "backing up traffic." Because, you know, every bar in the city of Milwaukee doesn't have most of those same problems...

I don't mean to make fun of people who are unhappy with a situation, but this really doesn't make sense. We have a two week festival dedicated to constantly congesting the downtown, flowing trash on the sidewalks, and getting countless people as drunk as possible by providing free rides. We have 5 bars per block who stay open till 2am daily, serve tons of people past the point of needed cut-off, and pour their annoying and falling down drunks into the streets at bar-close every night. We have a population of people who make it there goal to be as annoying and drunk as possible each weekend. But the Pedal Tavern is a nuisance.
I'm not for being annoying, littering, backing up traffic, or anything like that...but to single out the pedal tavern as a nuisance because of it? You'd have to close 80% of the businesses in Milwaukee before I'd call that fair.
So, think what you will, but, from personal experience, the pedal tavern is a blast. Be considerate of the businesses and people around you, but have fun.
