An interesting article about why, possibly, none of the six men, all whom apparently have been good, honest and beneficial to the community, called the police when the alleged molestation took place...Really informative and a good read for ANYONE passing any judgement...

The one thing that's really been annoying me about this situation is the spread of guilt that many people have extended to the other people involved. Are they innocent? No, but I find it hard for me to even imagine what I'd do in this situation. I would hope I'd do the right thing, but it's really hard to say I'd turn my best friend into the cops, no questions asked. That said, they are guilty of not acting and deserve the legal action coming to them, I just am not sure I would jump to the cries of "scumbag" "pervert" "molester enabler" or "he is just as bad as Sandusky himself" when referring to Paterno and everyone else involved. Let's remember, there's an actual (alleged) child molester who has become the subhead in this story, and that is what's wrong here...
And just to be sure...I AM NOT DEFENDING THESE GUYS. They could have helped as many as 20 kids and they didn't. It's deplorable... I've been yelled at for that and it's not what I intend. I just think the actual molester is the real evil here and that's being lost because of the fame involved. And I also don't share this article to give these guys a pass based on psychology...just simply because it gives insight into being in that situation. We all hope we'd do the right thing...but to stand and judge someone as so many people have in this situation shows me that we understand our own reactions far less than we even realize.
