Open Canvas

Thanks to all that participated and all that came to bid on the great art. There was everything from ultra-realism, to impressionistic styles, to portraiture and expressionism. The mood was awesome, the beer and wine was flowing and it was a great time. My piece ended up getting bought for about 400$ after a little bidding war and I am happy to say that the piece came out very well and I am happy it will contribute to someone's home.
"Do You Believe In a City of Gold"  was created over six hours of work on canvas in front of aroun 1,000 people throughout the time period. From the comments and onlookers, I am very pleased with the feedback and think people were very happy to see something a little out of the ordinary.

Personally I was very happy with the piece and wish I had a little more time just to look at it. I'm not sure I'd chance anything but I'm always a little hesitant to call a piece "done" when I've been so engrossed in the creation for so long a period of time. I'll break down the piece in a following post, but I thought I'd just start it off with a big THANKS to everyone involved in the event...It was a really great time.
