As much fun as it is to paint and create some good stuff, it is equally frustrating when something just isn't quite working and you can't put your finger on it. That's kinda what happened with "The Willow Industry" last night and it leaves you feeling....unfulfilled. There's just something not there, something not right and it sticks with you like an itch...
Anyways, as frustrating as THAT is, once you come up with a good idea, it flips 180 to excitement and the desire to get down to business (this post has more sexual innuendo than I ever expected...)
So anyways, I found this photo and I think I'm gonna move in this direction. I'm not sure if I'll adopt the literal religious quality of the photo, but I like the simple detail, the opportunity for small bursts of colors, and the overall action taking place while still containing a central point of focus...We'll see how it goes.

Bottom line for the piece...too much random color, not enough cohesiveness, not enough focus or purpose.
