Transition: "The Willow Industry" to "The Arena"

I worked on "The Willow Industry" over the weekend...and well...it's completely different.

 What started as that^ ended up as this...

I still kept with the "willow" lines and dynamics of the original, but really punched up the texture, representation, and movement. The piece resembles the coliseum, the action of the arena, and the hustle and bustle of the crowd. "The Arena" is meant to convey the feeling of a large congregation, the feeling of being part of a large mass of people, the confusion and excitement. The depth, claustrophobia, and thickness of the crowd...the emotion of the congregation, the urgency, the potential confrontation...

The original piece was closer to what I had pictured in my mind at the start, but the latter is the feeling I was really going for.
