Well you know that famous drawing of Leonardo da Vinci's of the dude in the circle and square (it's called The Vitruvian Man)?
Ya...that one, Well apparently this one was made first....
and even more, both of these are based off of earlier writings....so does Leonardo deserve all the credit and fame for the drawing or did he simply copy something others had already done? Check it out..

In all reality, I'm not sure it matters. Someone wrote the thought, thousands pondered it. Many probably tried to prove it through a variety of exercises. Leonardo was the one that made it more accurate to the writings and took the greatest care anatomically. he may not have been the first, but he definitely did it the best.
