Circles and Circles and Circles

That's kind of what art-making really is. You start, work, finish, start, work, finish, rework, restart, refinish...and it never really reaches an ending point. I always say that a piece is done when I sell it, and I really think that's true for 90% of my work. There's the few that just kick ass immediately, a bunch that kick ass for a while, some that kick ass while i'm working yet cease the ass kicking once I really look at it, some that kick no ass at all, and a few that make me question the reason for my existence at all...this is a piece that's right in that "kicks ass while i'm working yet cease the ass kicking once I really look at it" group.

I think it's pretty. I liked working on it. I like the colors...I just don't get any real emotion behind it. There's nothing driving it into that realm of desire, action, interest and intrigue...and that's just not gonna float at this point in my art making life...so back to the artistic circle of life...

Luckily all those circles got me thinking...I think this will end up having something to do with bikes...
