Congress Passes Payroll Tax Cut Extension

Congress just passed a bill to keep Social Security tax at its already low 4.2% rate and extend the limits of unemployment benefits. The Budget office claims the bill will raise the deficits by 89 Billion over the next  ten years...take a look.

Honest question...why is no one pissed about the increase federal employees must pay to their benefits? Here in Wisconsin, it was apparently the worst thing ever and we are now in the midst of a massively expensive recall which has created the worst political climate I've experienced in my relatively short life. Is there some big difference here that I'm totally misunderstanding or is it simply the fact that democratic senators voted for it?

*I realize there are a bunch more issues that contribute to the shit-pile here in WI...but the increase in benefit pay was a pretty big part so why is it not being talked about as negatively?
