For the Widows in Paradise

Honest truth, I really am not sure what this means, but I really like it. It's a bit haunting...a bit odd...a bit morbid...a bit surreal. I suppose its about death...questioning it, facing it, and looking at it from a variety of ways. The widow evokes thought of a husband...the imagery is that of a male cow...the cow (or golden calf) a symbol of a false idol...a false idol is a meaningless promise.

Is it the widow's meaningless promise? The husband's? The god's? Is it paradise because of what they are missing, what they have lost, or what they destroyed? Is it deserved or was it stolen, this piece being the reminder of the undeserved...?

Not quite sure yet, myself...but take a listen to the song from which the piece takes its title, and take a closer look by clicking the image.
