The Flowers She Said She Sent

This is an older piece...well actually it's only from last year, but that's about 70 paintings ago  (obsessive much?) and it's one of my favorites but I never actually got around to taking a good photo of it.


It's all about tension. It's palpable. You could cut it with a knife. The title is meant to evoke expectation and the eventual let down. The expectation building, waiting for a release, a release that simply doesn't come and as such is reserved in this unyielding, stomach churning grief.

...I know...that's some heavy stuff...
