A Little Life Left
This piece, "A Little Life Left" is about the last moments. Whether it's the last moments of life, love, energy, hope, care...it's about knowing the end of something is near...and what you do with that time. This imagery touches on, once again, the mountain. Stretching upward, seemingly everlasting and indestructible...at some point you reach the end. Either you get to the top or, given a disaster, mistake or unforeseen circumstance, you don't. You return to the bottom or stay on the mountain, holding your own life in your hands with no recourse if something goes wrong. It is the ultimate survival situation. No one to rely on but yourself. No one to discuss it with but yourself...nothing but you and the mountain and the decision to move forward or suspend your attempt.
I hope to make the mountain more clear. Now, you can only see the summit in light blue and white with smaller peaks poking through the haze of grey. I'd like to see the mountain take on more sporadic coloring, as if marking trails or peaks. It's a general reference to life and the moments of great importance...will you move forward, will you risk collapse, or will you turn back for the sake of playing it safe...There's a whole lot of greatness to be had...you just need to get through the haze of BS that clouds our everyday.
