Green Buildings: Good When They're Up. Bad Until Then

The "Green Building" movement is pretty huge nowadays. With any new building project, the word "green" comes into play more than ever, and not just in a "what color are the walls" kind of way. When an old building needs renovation, many times, they simply tear it down and build a newer, greener building. But there's a problem. A new study says that, in almost all cases, it's better for the environment to retrofit the old building than to build a whole new one...despite how 'green' you make it. Take a look...
