This is a little "accidental" piece from yesterday. It happened after I cut some canvas to fit over a smaller piece, leaving a stained piece of paper with some cuts and a few strands of canvas laid on top of it. I just really liked the aesthetic and unassuming nature of it. It's a total accident. A random happening where the objects managed to land in a way that was pleasing to the eye and that's absolutely worth taking note.
Not all art, and in my case almost no art, is pre-planned, laid out, labored over and investigated throughout the entire process. Not all artists know exactly what they want, or exactly what they are looking for. Some have no clue...some have a slight inkling. Some things happen randomly, somethings happen by total accident. Just the other day I splattered paint on an old piece and...it looks better...
I guess I'm just saying that sometimes a grand, large, perfectly created piece is exactly what you need. Sometimes you need a drip of diluted old ink to fall on some other surface you didn't even know was there.
