Im getting kinda sick of all this crap that goes on between the stars of sports and the fans. I get the emotion that comes with cheering and all that, but why does it extend into the realm of insanity off the playing field. I mean, really people, did Lebron really personally slight you by going to Miami or are you more disappointed because he they are probably going to continually beat your team for the next five years? Do you really HATE Tiger woods for what he did? if so, Why...was your future hurt by his actions? Do you benefit personally from his marriage succeeding? Why is Tiger worse than all the actors, politicians, or musicians that either do the exact same thing or worse? Past presidential candidate John Edwards was just caught for using campaign money to keep the news that he had a mistress quiet...isn't that worse? He was trying to run our country and used RAISED MONEY to keep a mistress quiet, Woods was just playing golf...but people still vilify Woods for his misdeeds way more than I hear about Edwards.
Im not saying you can't like or dislike a certain star (and I've only picked the two most obvious here) but show a little restraint, some common sense, and some control. They aren't put on the platform to serve you and what you think is right or wrong. Furthermore, they aren't doing anything because they are trying to make you specifically happy and they especially aren't doing anything to slight you. There is no real reason to hate someone who has no direct effect on your life and if you don't realize that, you are putting way to much energy into hating said person...Settle down people, they are athletes not our moral police.
