Here we go again

Aaaaaand the protesting starts again. Sumi's ruling got overturned as "overstepping her boundaries" by the court so the collective bargaining rules are going to at least start to be figured out and put into effect. And while I'm trying to keep an middle-ground mind here (I have disagreed with both sides on many accounts) I have to ask...are those 14 dems that left still the "hero 14" now that this ruling kinda shows their move was misinformed or at least not thought out completely? I mean if you are going to boycott something, shouldn't you make sure your move is actually going to boycott the bill? Them leaving, while it probably would have passed anyway, allowed repubs to pass it without them having a say. I dunno, if I was them I'd feel kinda like a dumby right now, whether or not you think it was courageous.

I suppose it was the only option to stop the passage of the bill so you have to give them something for trying, but I suppose if you are going to lose, the last thing I would want to do is run, thinking I'm helping the cause, and return to find out that no one cared and I lost anyway. Kind of makes me think they should have stayed back, supported the protesters and fought with what they could in the debating rooms. I dont know, just my initial thoughts.
