The Process

I didn't realize it at the time but this mural was about........8 times bigger than any I had ever done before. It was at least twice as tall as my tallest piece and at least twice as wide, not to mention I had 1 day,  a few cans of paint, a bit of a hangover and 90 degree weather. Nonetheless, the painting started to come together after about two or so hours and from there, it was just completing the vision. I snagged about eight pictures (out of the 50 or so taken) that best show the steps taken in creating the piece, each showing a different side from the finished mural.
That's me in front of the wall...that little bit of shade saved my life

First mark managed to stay visible through the entire thing
It's not the worst start I could imagine...

just putting paint on the wall...it's hard to know where to go when
there's nothing there to go off of.

This was the first time I decided it wasn't working as a face anymore
Realizations 2 hrs in
 wooden ladder=strong as an ox,
aluminum ladder=stilts made of tissue paper
3-4 hrs into the painting
person on street- "what's it gonna be?"
me- "no clue whatsoever."
finally a direction starts to show through

2 hrs to go...what a trooper eric is just keeping me company all day

And we're ready to scare some children
