I'm done with the "should they or shouldn't they have made it" BS. They got there and won...they are the champions. Congrats. It was boring...let's move on.

What this whole thing did point out, however, is exactly what the article states. The BCS reasoning for not having a playoff is completely bogus and now, pretty indefensible. They say every game is a playoff....except when they still think you should go the NCG. Now there is really no way for them to say that it's fair across the board for all schools. Some schools can go undefeated, some can get snubbed with one loss, some are forced to rematch a team they already beat, and some get a second chance at completing their goal while others are left looking at computer rankings, scratching their heads. It's a ridiculous system and this year proved it...So whether you like the tide, hate the tide, agree with the outcome or think another team got snubbed, at least we can thank the BCS for screwing themselves over this year and hopefully paving the way to a legit NCG that get's decided completely on the field.
