This piece is kind of hard to shoot. You have to stand really far away in order to get the whole thing in frame, and the details really get lost when this happens...But i guess that's kinda how all my works ends up.
I'll have more info and insight into this piece a bit later on. I'm a big fan of it...I just haven't quite figured out exactly what it says. It has to deal with discovery. The nerve system is found at the bottom of the figure...signifying it as some kind of base...something to start with...as if to say "discovery starts with the nerve to start looking"
I suppose the title then would signify that in order to make room for that advancement, you would need to sacrifice that which is comforting, regular, or expected...In order to dream, you can't sleep peacefully. In order to discover, you can't be content with what's already been found...
Well...I'm sure I can expand on that later..but that's better than what I intended or realized when i started typing.
