Why's That Blob Inspecting Our Oil Rig?

Every so often we find something in nature that's a little hard to identify. It usually comes in the form of a rotting blob, washed up on the beach, parts eaten, parts removed...a blob monster that is nearly unrecognizable in the animal kingdom. Usually it's a whale, or a seal. Sometimes it's a sturgeon or a rare fish. But very rarely do you see a blob monster alive and well, caught on camera for the internet world to see...
