Tall Walkers.

Not quite done...but getting there...
This piece is a tongue-in-cheek commentary on the major flooding expected if glacial melt continues or worsens. Basically (since I'm too lazy to look up the exact numbers) ocean levels are rising and any significant rise will result in coastal cities across the world facing unprecedented flooding to the point where entire sections, and even entire cities and regions, could be underwater in the relatively near future.

This piece comically comments on this, showing five people dangling in the deep waters of there region, fish swimming between their legs, aquatic life rising from the depths with no ground in site. The title Tall Walkers is a childish take on what could happen to help the people of these areas, given the flooding occurs...they grow taller.

This is obviously not a solution...and I think that's the point. The piece is meant to depict a dire circumstance in a welcoming and non-depressing way. To do that, I propose a solution that pretty much anyone would laugh at and ridicule. It's meant to show the lack of effort being put toward curbing the issue and how dire the situation is, but to show it in a way that, instead of leaving you pessimistic, you leave energized, thinking critically, and, hopefully, inspired. In a way...it's a start to the conversation..."Well they could always just be taller...but seriously, let's figure this out..."
