The Greatest Self-Portrait Of All Time?

What makes a great self portrait? Resemblance? Personality? Drama? Medium? Does a portrait need to depict the person, stand in for the person or represent the person. Can it do all three? Should it do all three? What would make the greatest self-portrait of all time?

While I doubt this artist started with that question, his work brings up the idea. Creating molded sculptures of his own head out of his own frozen blood, artist Marc Quinn creates a self portrait that is both representational and literal. It looks like him...and it IS him, and like himself, it will disappear as time goes on. Take a look..
