Could Science Improve Politics?

Before anything goes onto the market in the US, everything from food or cleaning products have to go through a slew of tests before the get stocked. When it comes to medicine, years of trials precede a public release. But when it comes to politics, we listen to some guys or gals in nicer suits than we can afford give some pointers...and then have other suited people vote on it. Seems a little less regulated for what is very much just as important, if not more, depending on the issue and policy. Could scientific testing help improve our political system? Should we institute testing for political policy before they ever go to vote?
Take a look.
