MSOE announced a plan to start offering a sort of 2 for 1 deal, offering free graduate school tuition for those students that attended and paid for undergraduate degrees at the school. They hope this will increase the number of people attending the undergraduate part of the school, while also providing a much more financially viable option for students looking for further education past the first four years.

Gotta say, sounds like a great idea to me. While it may inadvertently cause more students to simply spend more time in school and out of the job search, it also tackles the issue of what to do in a nonexistent job market after college, something that's put a big hurt on recent graduates. I think we should definitely praise the idea...but we need to wait a bit before we can say for certain if it works or not. If it bankrupts the school for instance, it's obviously not a practical solution. If, however, more students attend school, stay out of unemployment, get a more complete education and also raise attendance for the undergraduate school (which would make more money), I think other schools really would need to take notice. First step taken...let's see where it goes from here.
