entering the void |
This is one of the pieces I did last night and I would bet on me listening to Puscifer's cover of "Rocketman" being a large reason why I decided to do an astronaut. I also thought that, looking at astronaut pictures from the moon landings, that the vivid reflections in the helmet's were amazing. I have always thought some of the most interesting pictures deal with reflection, not to mention the "symbolism" of such a thing. What could he be seeing so deep in space that casts such a dazzling spectrum on the helmet? The piece is titled "The Void" and is meant for you to answer exactly that. What is he looking at? Are the colors representational or symbolic? Is this about reflection on self or reflection on humanity?
There's a lot of questions that accompany the image and I suppose why I thought it would create a vivid piece of work.
