If any of you didn't know, Gallery Night is this weekend in Milwaukee and there are some fantastic shows with, and without a bunch of my work. First of all the MIAD Student and Alumni sale starts Friday and goes through the weekend with over 100 artists crossing all medium, subject matter and style, creating one of the most diverse shows you'll see till thesis night at the beginning of next summer. I have over 20 pieces there, will be there the whole weekend to talk, and saw some great work walking around the exhibit during setup last night. Truly should be a great show for everyone to see.
Secondly, I have a couple pieces up at Gallery 218 in the Marshall Building, along with four or five other artists, working abstractly through painting, photography and sculpture. All artists except me should be in attendance there and, as always, it should be a very good abstract show.
Thirdly there's the rest of the Marshall Building with at least 10 more galleries to see. Blutstein-Brondino has a new photography show that is really interesting, containing the work of four different photographers. Elaine Erickson is having Rina Yoon show a collection of work, and the Portrait Society has photos from Francis Ford and Jack Eigel. All look to be really interesting and solid shows...
So moral of the story...GO OUT FOR GALLERY NIGHT AND SUPPORT LOCAL ARTISTS...
Here's a couple pieces that I'll be showing...
