Here's another piece I did last night that's more of a drawing than a painting, comprised of two thick layers of black and beige, and then scratched into with the end of a dried, crusty brush. I want some of the lines to stand out a bit more so some "cheating" to make the black darker in places might be required, but the overall effect of the technique creates an interesting aesthetic, almost resembling a much-worked charcoal piece. I'm gonna investigate what sanding might do to some of the more opaque sections of the white and we'll see how it develops over the weekend.
