I got the idea to do a big, outdoor painting and record the process either as a timelapse video a while ago and decided to do a dry run of the "time lapse" idea. After about eight hours of work...it turned out pretty alright. It was spur of the moment so I didn't have everything I would have liked to have on hand, but all that aside it was fairly successful.
I started a bit late in the day so the sun went down and that screwed up the color for the last group of photos, also I had to completely move the camera once since, well, I'm a dumbass and tripped over it. But those and the jitteriness aside, the concept will definitely work. I need to think about how to close out the video and present the last stages of the painting, also I would like to get more shots of the beginning of the process as that is where most of the huge changes are made....anyways, I thought it was interesting and am very pleased with the outcome. It's a bit more wild than pieces I have recently done, but I'm a huge fan of the energy...I can go into more detail about the piece a bit later...anyways, take a look a the video and plan to see more coming.
