While sales have been less than stellar and the tide seems to be generally turning against the Chevy Volt, it can't be viewed as a total bust. Sure it's expensive...Sure it was over-hyped...Sure it's not the perfect alternative to a gas-powered car...but all that can be thrown out the window when you realize what it has done, and what it has in common with another game-changer of the recent era.
