Tremor
This is definitely...ok maybe not 100% sure...my favorite piece from this weekend. It's one of those that meets in the middle for me between minimal and busy...and both busy & minimal being a good thing. A lot of my work ends up being very full through texture, color and mark-making, and sometimes I like the effect of one color, one type of mark and working repetitively.
It's often too easy to just continue working and some pieces just need to be halted in the beginning stages to preserve the spontaneity of the event...
Tremor is a piece about the status quo...or the lack there of. A constant rhythm, a repetitive mark...but nothing quite the same as the other, nothing exact, nothing perfectly in order. We feel like the world around us follow this path each day, week, month or year...and it's just not the case. Embrace the weird little bumps along the way...
