Scribbling The History of Art Through the Eyes of One Artist

Here is my piece from yesterday and the tentative title right now is Scribbling History Through Tinted Glass. As I said yesterday, the subject of the piece is artists who inspire me, the purpose of the piece is to create a unique connection to these artists, and the method is repetition.

Like prayer, ritual, and meditation, I seek to create this unique spiritual connection through repetition. By writing these dates over and over and over, I hope to create a kind of meditative state, "enlivening" the artists within myself. The piece is almost, by that definition, more about the process, more a performance, than a 2d image. The result wasn't what's important, it's the hour I sat in silence completely entranced by the repetitive strokes and markings...

Plus, I think the final image does  look really cool, whichnever hurts when it comes to art.
