Despite it's third best ever opening weekend ticket sales, there has been (some) criticism of The Hunger Games, especially regarding it's apparent lack of technology in some random areas; still using coal, no internet, no planes...yet they have hovercrafts...you get the idea. But while it seems weird from the outside looking in, historians say that "technology holes" are nothing new and should be expected, especially for a sci-fi book making social and political commentary...
