The Beginning Stages

Someone liked my live piece so much last Jamboree that they decided to buy it...well sort of. They actually LOVED the stage of the piece about a half hour in. And while I agreed that the piece was really cool (I love that sort of unrefined aesthetic) I had to stretch the painting out for another three hours and couldn't simply hand the canvas over at that time. Luckily, they commissioned another version of the piece, halted at the 1/2 hour mark and preserving that initial stage...



It's pretty awesome when someone likes your work enough to buy it. Even more if they trust a commission to you. Even more still if they like something as "unfinished" as the beginning sketchiness of a piece...
