Faded Sunsets

These two pieces were done last night and were centered around cleaning my brushes. I had a palette I wanted for each, one blue-ish, one more red, and basically loaded the brush and slowly worked back toward clean bristles. I tried not to ad more color than the original dip into the jar, and only added white when if I was finished with the colored parts.
It was a weird way of working...the first marks were the most vibrant, the last having the most watered down paint. It was more an investigation into the process than a goal with a set end-point, though I am happy with how they turned out and am eager to see how this process may translate to a larger piece.
