From Chicago to Milwaukee...Step 2

The first step in the commission of the Milwaukee cityscape was really nailing down what kind of layout we were going for.

In the above cityscape of Chicago, we went with a conventional skyline, seen from afar, with a foreground in front of the major buildings.

but in the Milwaukee painting, we are going to be zooming into a location on Old World Third Street, combining that with a view of the riverwalk, and then backing those up with a few larger buildings from the traditional skyline. It's not 100% accurate to any real scene you'd happen upon, but it grabs a few great scenes and gets the energy and unique qualities of the Milwaukee downtown...
