CHI 2 MKE: Step 3

And now comes the fun part...after a few sketches and a little back and forth between me and the client, we've landed on the below sketch and are moving onto the real painting phase. From here on out, we start seeing the color, line and mark-making emerge that will really give personality and energy to the piece.

We opened up the street and the river views a bit to add space for crowds, cars, or boats, and we added a few buildings along the riverwalk to establish a few more recognizable buildings. The last big change was adding some breathing room along the upper right and top of the piece. There is about 2 times more space for the sky and the taller buildings no longer approach the edge of the canvas, really giving the scene a nice negative space surrounding the subject.

Keep checking in as the updates get added...from here on out it starts getting interesting.
