While speaking to letting yourself get lost in nature, another thing that impacted or initialized the idea for this piece was the recent burning of "The Senator" tree, a 3,500 year old cyprus tree recently torched by a meth user. I guess it's meant as a warning...and a comfort. We have the ability to be transparent in the eyes of the environment, yet we also can completely over-power it's ability to survive. We need to accept our role as a powerful impacter, yet work hard so that impact is known, researched and lessened to the greatest extent possible.
