The Art Milwaukee Jamboree this month is at City Hall on Friday, and while I'll be live painting, this Jamboree is featuring a big change, the opportunity for YOU to get involved with my live piece!
I'll be creating a piece of work where the main theme is "structure." I'll be building up a base of beams, blocks, scaffolding and shapes with paint on a canvas. You're theme will be "substance" and there will be various prompts to get you thinking. You'll have crayons and tracing paper, and I'll have you scribble your thoughts, imagery, symbols, or whatever you get from the prompt. Those will be fixed to the piece as its made, as they are turned in, creating a literal building project for the arts community throughout the night. We'll tackle head-on what we see coming in in the future for our city and its HUGE opportunity for the arts, creating an image of what we see the community becoming.
