Gatsby Parties and Missing the Point.

"The Great Gatsby" is one of those books many of us read during high school, and while many may not have read it willingly, a lot of people know the story. But as often happens with high school, most people appear to have forgotten the point of what they were taught, namely the book's condemnation of decadence. 

With a new movie coming out, scores of extravagant "Gatsby Parties" have sprung up, creating an ironically funny display of cluelessness...
