Calatrava Challenged Over Leaking Roof.


If you're paying tens of millions for a world-renown architect to design your building, you'd expect, at the very least, for the roof to keep out the rain...but the owners of the Ysios Winery have found themselves in exactly that predicament. Santiago Calatrava, famed architect and designer of Milwaukee's very own MAM addition, is being asked to pay around 2 million euros so that the owners of his decade-old winery can pay a new company to redesign the roof, following a number of unsuccessful attempts by Calatrava's original contractors to fill the leaks. The demand comes on the heels of a number of complaints and lawsuits Calatrava has received for various projects around the world facing a variety of structural and usability problems...
