Two Feathers Don't Make a Bird

Two Feathers Don't Make a Bird.
8x48
Acrylic, Pastel and Charcoal on Wood.

This piece has a simple message...no matter how great a few components are, they could never truly represent what they add up to. These two feathers, no matter how beautiful, can never tell us the complete truth about the bird they came from...

Applied to something other than birds, we can be comfortable in that which we understand, believe and know...but we can never really be wise...we can never be "complete" unless we search out the things we don't.

Building a belief from part of the story is a great way to be wrong. Looking at select part of the issue is a great way to be uninformed. Being content with yourself is a great way to never advance.
