If you read my previous post linking to an article in which the candidates present 14 responses to questions on science policy (http://marionart23.blogspot.com/2012/09/obama-and-romney-on-14-science-topics.html) check out this rundown of the top 5 takeaways from the answers...

not too surprising. There was some good response and info in there...but for the most part, each guy gave the usual, predictable "I believe in science and it's values so we support it." Obama seemed content with pointing out what he's done without saying whether or not it worked, while Romney seemed more willing point out the flaws of the President's previous actions, though he didn't shed too much light (if any) on exactly what he'd do differently. It was a decent read...but I don't feel either guy left his comfort zone or actually said anything truly meaningful.
